Editorial policy
Clear debt information, reviewed with care and written without shame.
How we prepare information
We use public consumer guidance, applicable rules, and information supplied by participating providers. We check important claims before publication and update pages when the underlying information changes.
How we write
Debt can be stressful. Our content uses calm, direct language and does not blame people for their circumstances. We separate general education from the matching service and explain material limits alongside potential benefits.
Results and fees
Debt relief results vary by person, creditor, enrolled debt, provider, and program. We do not promise a settlement amount, savings level, payment reduction, or completion date.
National Debt Registry is free to use. When we say "$0 upfront," we mean that you pay nothing to use our matching service and a participating debt relief provider does not collect its debt relief fee before it has delivered a contracted result. Review the provider's written terms before enrolling.
Independence and corrections
Compensation may affect which providers appear, but it does not change our standards for accuracy or clear disclosure. If you find something that needs correction, email contact@499group.com.
National Debt Registry is not affiliated with or endorsed by any government agency. We are not a lender, creditor, or debt relief provider.
