Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Last updated: 18 September 2026.
This policy is written for residents of California. It supplements our Privacy Policy and is provided under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA"). Terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning here.
Submit your request
Use this form to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, to limit the use of your sensitive personal information, or to ask us to tell you what we hold, delete it or correct it. You do not need an account. We use the details you enter only to find your record and act on your request. You can also email contact@499group.com with the subject "Privacy request".
Request received - we act on opt-out requests within 15 business days and answer other requests within 45 days.
We could not send this right now - email contact@499group.com with the subject 'Privacy request'.
Who we are
National Debt Registry is a website operated by Four Nine Nine Ltd. We are not a debt relief provider, lender or government agency. When you submit a request on this site, Four Nine Nine Ltd shares it with independent debt relief providers and their service providers so they can evaluate your request and contact you, and may be compensated for that. Under the CCPA that sharing can count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, which is why this page exists.
1. Your right to know
You may ask us to tell you what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and who we shared or sold it to, and to give you a copy of the specific information. In the preceding 12 months:
- we collected these categories: identifiers (name, email address, phone number, IP address); personal information described in Cal. Civ. Code 1798.80 (the state you live in and, on some request pages, your street address, city and ZIP code); commercial information (the debt amount, debt types and payment status you entered, and the service you asked about); internet or other network activity (pages viewed, referring site, device information and campaign identifiers); coarse geolocation (the state or ZIP code you entered and your IP address); sensitive personal information (the debt types you select may include medical bills; see section 4); and inferences (none - we do not draw inferences);
- we sold or shared these categories: identifiers, personal information described in Cal. Civ. Code 1798.80, commercial information (including the debt types you selected), internet activity (campaign identifiers) and coarse geolocation, with these categories of third parties: independent debt relief providers and their service providers;
- we disclosed these categories for a business purpose: identifiers, commercial information, internet activity and coarse geolocation, to these categories of service providers: our hosting and security, consent certification, email delivery and analytics vendors;
- the sources: you, when you fill in the form or contact us, and your browser or device;
- the business purposes: to pass your request to participating debt relief providers, to run and secure the site, to answer your questions and requests, and to respond to regulators and lawful demands;
- retention: see How long we keep it in the Privacy Policy.
You may request access to information we retain about you, including information older than 12 months where the law requires it. Personal information under the CCPA does not include publicly available government records or de-identified information.
2. Your right to delete
You may ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you: use the form above or email contact@499group.com with the subject "CCPA right to delete". Once we verify the request we delete your records from our systems, except where the law lets us keep them, for example to complete a transaction you asked for, to detect fraud, or to meet a legal obligation. We will tell you if we keep anything and why. We also notify the service providers and the third parties that received your information from us in the previous 90 days, and instruct them to delete it, unless doing so is impossible or involves disproportionate effort.
3. Your right to opt out of sale or sharing
You may tell us not to sell or share your personal information: use the form above (select "Do not sell or share my personal information"), email contact@499group.com with the subject "Do not sell my information", or write to the address below. Note that submitting the request form on our home page is itself a request that we pass your information to debt relief providers so that they can discuss your options with you; if you later opt out, we stop any further sale or sharing of the information we hold. We also notify the service providers and the third parties that received your information from us in the previous 90 days, and instruct them to stop selling or sharing it, unless doing so is impossible or involves disproportionate effort. We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16.
To stop marketing messages from a debt relief provider, reply STOP to any text message or use the unsubscribe link in their email; those messages come from them, not from us. You can also revoke the consent you gave on our form by emailing contact@499group.com.
4. Your right to limit the use of sensitive personal information
The request form asks what types of debt you have, and one of the answers is medical bills. We treat that answer as sensitive personal information under California law. We use it only to route your request to the participating debt relief providers you asked to hear from and to keep the consent record; we do not use it to infer characteristics about you and we do not use it for advertising. Because passing it to a provider can count as a sale or sharing, you may limit our use of it: use the form above (select "Limit the use of my sensitive personal information"), the Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information link in the footer, or email contact@499group.com with the subject "Limit sensitive information". Once we receive your request we use your sensitive personal information only for the purposes California law allows: to send the request you submitted, to keep the consent record, to secure the site and to comply with law. We tell the independent debt relief providers that received it to do the same.
5. Opt-out preference signals
We honor the Global Privacy Control signal: when your browser sends it, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser and we do not load advertising tags. If your browser sends the signal and you then submit a request form, we tell you on the form that the two conflict and ask you to confirm that you want this request sent to independent debt relief providers; your confirmation applies to that request only, and the signal keeps applying to everything else.
6. Your right to correct
You may ask us to correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you. Tell us what is wrong and what it should be; we may ask for documentation before we change a record.
7. Non-discrimination
We will not deny you the service, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised any of these rights.
8. How to submit a verifiable request
Send requests through the form above, to contact@499group.com, or to Four Nine Nine Ltd, 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom. Requests to opt out of sale or sharing and requests to limit the use of sensitive personal information are not verified: we act on them as received, unless we have reason to believe the request is fraudulent. Requests to know, delete or correct are verified as described here. Such a request must say which of those rights you are exercising and give us enough to verify you are the person the information is about: we match the name, email address, phone number and, if needed, the state you used on this site against our records. We do not ask for a Social Security number to verify a request. California law provides two free requests to know in any 12-month period; there is no cap on requests to delete or to correct.
An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf. For an opt-out or limit request the agent needs your signed permission; for a request to know, delete or correct we also verify your identity directly with you.
9. When we respond
We act on opt-out and limit requests within 15 business days and tell the third parties that received your personal information in the previous 90 days to stop selling or sharing it. For requests to know, delete or correct we confirm receipt within 10 business days and answer within 45 days; if we need up to 45 more days we tell you why in writing, by email to the address you gave us.
Information held by debt relief providers
Once a debt relief provider has received your request, it holds that information under its own privacy policy. You may contact that provider about its own processing, but that does not replace our responsibility to handle your request: when you ask us to delete or to opt out we notify the providers that received your information in the previous 90 days, as described above.
Residents of other states
The rights above, and the appeal process, are also available to residents of other states with consumer privacy laws; see Your privacy rights in the Privacy Policy.
